Belden is building the future of communication cable manufacturing in Budapest. We are expanding our existing manufacturing operations into a brand new plant in 2027.
As a senior plant controller, you will be key in executing our strategy for the location and help build a State-of-the-art manufacturing plant delivering best in class results.
As part of the EMEA Operations Controlling team, you will act as an internal consultant for the Budapest operations team, the project team and the European leadership team. You will proactively provide viability on the project and plant financials, and support decision makers in the preparation of operational and strategic decisions.
Your Mission
You will be responsible for the complete budget of the project, and future plant P&L results. You will support the ramp up of the machine capacity, headcount and production output of the new plant in the next two years.
You will work with the existing Finance team to ensure our new operations is fully integrated in our existing accounting and finances processes, as well as aligned with US-Gaap and statutory requirements.
In the coming years, you will invent the future of the Budapest plant controlling. You will support the implementation of the new plant in the current ERP System, and support the migration to SAP S4 Hana in the next two years. You will build Best in class processes, automate daily activities to free up resources to better support value added activities.
Ultimately, you will develop into a Finance leader and be ready to take ownership of the complete Budapest plant finance team and interact directly with the EMEA leadership team.
Your Tasks
- Support the implementation of the new plant, machines and items in the existing ERP system
- Support the accounting month end activities (review cost details in SAP FI/CO, check for missing invoices, prepare cost accrual bookings)
- analyze deviations of the plant costs and performance in comparison to the budget / forecast / prior year based on standard costing accounting methods (headcount, productivity, quality)
- Develop new reporting tools to provide visibility on our main operational key performance indicators and analyze target-performance deviations for the new plant.
- support the budget planning and monthly forecast reporting processes by analyzing the current performance, and aligning our financial assumptions with the other stakeholders
- help validating investment and cost saving scenarios by preparing profitability analysis in excel. Work with the engineers and production team to analyze productivity gains, and evaluate the actual savings after implementation.
Your Profile
- Studies in economics / business administration with a focus on finance / controlling
- 5+ years finance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Fluent written and spoken Hungarian and English
- Strong analytical skills as well as conceptual thinking
- Proven Communication and business partnering skills
- Digital mindset, ability to work with complex systems and analyze data sets
