Technology may include CRM (Customer Relationship Management), MAP (Marketing Automation Platform), DAM (Digital Asset Management), Project and Workflow Management, etc.
  • Proactively identify marketing team needs, research potential solutions and build compelling business cases for new system acquisitions or technology enhancements.
  • Collaborate with peer teams such as IT and Digital Transformation on vendor assessments, selection decisions, contract negotiations and successful implementation of new marketing technologies.

Technology Implementation & Adoption:

  • Lead the post-implementation phase for all marketing technologies, including developing and delivering comprehensive enablement programs, training materials and ongoing support to ensure high adoption rates across the marketing team.
  • Act as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all marketing technology, providing guidance, troubleshooting and best practices to users.

Technology-Driven Process Optimization:

  • Champion the strategic use of technology within the marketing department, actively pushing the team to leverage technology for increased efficiency, automation and improved workflows.
  • Design and establish robust marketing processes that seamlessly integrate technology to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
  • Continuously explore new and emerging marketing technologies to identify opportunities for competitive advantage and innovation.

AI Integration & Leadership:

  • Lead marketing’s AI Task Force, driving the overall AI strategy and roadmap for marketing.
  • Lead initiatives to build and integrate Artificial Intelligence capabilities directly into core marketing processes and workflows.
  • Aid the marketing team in understanding and implementing AI solutions within their respective processes and workflows, fostering a culture of AI adoption.

Marketing Data Governance & Quality:

  • Establish and enforce robust governance policies for marketing data to ensure its accuracy, consistency and overall quality across all tools and technologies.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments (e.g., Sales, IT, Digital Transformation, Product & Solution Development) to ensure high-quality data inputs, seamless data flow and effective data management practices across the organization.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and learning within the marketing department.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices and advancements in marketing technology, AI and data governance.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or Advertising (with a digital marketing focus), Management Information Systems or a similar field.
  • 5-7+ years of relevant work experience within digital marketing or marketing technology
  • Deep marketing technology knowledge, including implementation, data integrity and lead processes.
  • Knowledge of and curiosity for emerging technologies, as well as how to gain efficiencies through integration of technology into critical marketing processes.
  • Ability to train colleagues and nontechnical peers on technologies and tools to improve adoption and use of tools.
  • Understanding of regulatory laws and policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and leverage technology to improve processes in a global, matrixed environment.
