Job Purpose - Summary
The Network Automation Practice Leader is responsible for developing a team of Solution Consultants who design and drive adoption of secure, scalable, network automation solutions that span sensor to cloud, utilizing Belden’s best in class secure network switching, routing and wireless solutions. They are a critical business partner to our clients and sales teams by enabling IT / OT Convergence Solutions and Physical AI applications across focused industry verticals. This key leader will own their practice’s growth, leveraging Belden’s full suite of products, solutions and services.
Successful Practice Leaders help their teams:
- Develop robust technical skills, consultative competencies and vertical use case expertise
- Translate customer requirements and problem statements into compelling technical solutions with demonstrable financial value impact
- Utilize Automation and Tooling to deliver accelerated opportunity velocity & win rates
- Recognize and utilize validated architectures to develop vertical and use case specific solutions with heightened value
- Deliver Bookings from solutions, products, services and SLA’s facilitating customer success and continued stakeholder engagement
- Propose secure solutions inclusive of Digital Infrastructure, Cybersecurity and third-party elements
- Expand influence within end customer, SI, EPC & engineering communities within the AMS Region
- Develop and co-create proof-of-concepts delivering significant operational and / or financial impact
- Facilitate quality handovers to internal execution teams; Identify process or solution improvement priorities and emerging technology trends requiring network automation solutions
- Secure customer commitment through best-in-class solutions, service and post-sale support programs
The successful candidate relies heavily on strong associate development and coaching first, while leveraging technical competencies, and utilizes vertical specific experience to upskill and mentor the team. Practice Leaders drive accountability across the team to successfully deliver KPI and Objectives.
Education & Experience
- 5+ years of experience designing or implementing network solutions (L1/L2 Wireless), Software and Services for large or complex clients in Substation Automation, Material Handling, Discrete / Automotive, Mass Transit or Process Markets
- 5-7 years of demonstrated success developing & leading remote teams of both new & incumbent associates
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferred) with a focus on Networking & Ethernet based communications
- Experience working with cross functional teams including Solution Architects, Solution Line Managers, Product Managers, Sales and Marketing
- Proven Track Record of managing, coaching and promoting associates aligning to succession plans

- Demonstrate solid knowledge and understanding of key technology and market trends, and competitors’ solutions.
- Demonstrate analytical skills and the ability to work within a metric driven environment
- Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced work environment
- Demonstrate a pro-active, flexible, and pragmatic approach
Other essential qualifications
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required to perform the duties of the role (50% + frequency of travel)
- English fluency to business standard essential

Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $120,000 to $170,000.00, plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role. This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Belden may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant’s experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
