Position Summary

Belden is seeking a mid-level SAP Project Analyst - Test Management & Cutover Planning to join our ERP transformation team, with a focus on test management and cutover planning for SAP implementations. This role is critical to ensuring the successful delivery of SAP initiatives by driving rigorous testing strategies and executing seamless go-live transitions with minimal business disruption. The ideal candidate combines strong project management fundamentals with hands-on SAP program experience, bridging the gap between technical teams, business stakeholders, and system integrators to deliver quality, on-time SAP solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, own, and execute comprehensive test management strategies across SAP projects, including unit, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (business, functional consultants, technical developers, and QA) to ensure test scripts, scenarios, and defect resolution are tracked and completed on schedule.
• Manage test cycles end-to-end, including test planning, execution tracking, defect management, and reporting to leadership and steering committees.
• Oversee the defect management lifecycle. Coordinate with functional consultants, developers, and business users to prioritize, troubleshoot, and resolve issues efficiently using tools like Azure DevOps (ADO), SAP Solution Manager, Micro Focus ALM, or Jira.
• Design and maintain detailed cutover plans, including sequencing of activities, resource assignments, rollback strategies, and go/no-go decision criteria.
• Lead cutover war rooms during go-live events, managing real-time issue triage, escalation, and communication with stakeholders.
• Partner with SAP functional and technical leads to identify testing risks, data migration dependencies, and interface/integration touchpoints requiring validation.
• Build and maintain project timelines, RAID logs, and status reports specific to testing and cutover workstreams.
• Ensure compliance with change management and SOX/audit requirements related to testing documentation and sign-offs.
• Facilitate post-go-live hypercare support planning and transition to steady-state operations.
• Manage stakeholder communication, ensuring transparency on testing progress, risks, and cutover readiness.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 5–8 years of project management experience, with at least 3 years focused specifically on SAP implementation or upgrade projects.
• Demonstrated experience owning test management and/or cutover planning for at least one full-cycle SAP implementation (ECC, S/4HANA, or similar).
• Familiarity with SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD, FICO, PP) and how they interconnect within end-to-end business processes.
• Experience with test management tools (e.g., SAP Solution Manager, Tricentis Tosca, Azure DevOps, HP ALM/Quality Center, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of cutover planning methodologies, including data migration timing, system freeze periods, and rollback contingencies.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to lead war-room discussions under pressure during go-live events.
• Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams, competing priorities, and tight deadlines in a matrixed organization.

• Approximately up to 25% of travel may be required

Desired Certifications

• SAP Activate Project Manager Certification
• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Agilist (for hybrid Agile/Waterfall delivery environments)

Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $101,400 - $152,100 plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role.  This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Belden may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant’s experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
