How You’ll help us connect the world:

 

The Sr. Traffic & Shipping Coordinator is responsible for overseeing daily transportation, shipping, and distribution activities to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. This role coordinates across warehouse, carriers, and internal teams to optimize logistics operations, maintain compliance, and improve efficiency.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage inbound and outbound shipments across multiple locations
  • Optimize carrier selection, routing, and freight costs
  • Monitor shipment schedules and proactively resolve delays or disruptions
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, DOT regulations, and international shipping requirements
  • Collaborate with warehouse, procurement, and customer service teams to meet delivery targets
  • Analyze shipping data and generate performance reports (KPIs, cost, transit times)
  • Maintain accurate shipping documentation (BOLs, invoices, customs paperwork)
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives in transportation and logistics processes
  • Support and mentor junior coordinators or shipping staff

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4–6+ years of experience in transportation, shipping, or logistics coordination
  • Strong knowledge of freight carriers and routing
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools

Applicants can expect an hourly pay rate range of $25.00 -$29.00 plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role.  This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Belden may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant’s experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
