Job Summary:

This role is responsible for delivering and managing sales enablement programs and training to improve seller effectiveness, productivity, and engagement. This person will establish and maintain strong working relationships with general management, sales, product management, and marketing leaders to evaluate and understand our training needs and develop effective tools and content to onboard new members of our commercial teams and enhance Belden’s Solution Selling capability.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Identify sales skills gaps and create training initiatives to address them
  • Consult with subject matter experts, consultants, and leadership to develop enablement resources for the commercial teams
  • Collaborate with regional teams to create consistent enablement content
  • Facilitate enablement sessions including product training, skills workshops, and sales process coaching
  • Manage program logistics, communications, and participation tracking
  • Align enablement programs with sales strategy and objectives
  • Gather and analyze feedback to continuously improve programs
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure adoption and impact
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and effective use of resources
  • Conduct comprehensive orientation sessions to introduce new sales hires to the company’s value, culture, product/services, and sales processes
  • Ensure new hires have a clear understanding of their roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations
  • Provide ongoing coaching, guidance, and support to new sales hires during their initial months
  • Collaborate with sales managers to ensure new hires receive adequate support and mentorship
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of the onboarding program
  • Analyze onboarding metrics, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement
  • Prepare reports and present findings to management, suggesting enhancements to the onboarding process
  • Contribute to the implementation of effective training programs, which may include instructor-led training, web-based training, on-the-job coaching delivery methods, and product training

 

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Sales, Business Administration, or related field from four-year college or university
  • 3+ years of experience in sales enablement, sales training, or a similar role
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing successful sales onboarding programs
  • Strong consulting skills and ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in learning & development functions focused on Sales including in-person training, virtual training and facilitation roles, along with curriculum design
  • 2+ years of Experience in Sales Enablement tools (Highspot preferred) and learning management systems
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (Docebo preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of CRM tools (SFDC preferred) and demonstrated ability to leverage CRM for Sales Enablement
  • Demonstrated proficiency with remote training applications and methods
  • Excellent communication skills in collaborating with and influencing others
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a matrix team environment

 

Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $100,000 - $150,000 annually, plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role.  This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Belden may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant’s experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
