The Financial Analyst supports routine financial reporting, budgeting/forecasting activities, and data analysis. This role is well-suited for someone early in their career who is strong in Excel, comfortable working with data, and eager to learn core FP&A processes and business partnering. This position will be on-site in our Coburg, Canada facility.
Key Responsibilities

Assist with monthly reporting (KPIs, spend tracking, basic P&L variance summaries).

Maintain and update recurring Excel templates and standard reports.

Help gather inputs for budget and forecast cycles; track submissions and follow up as needed.

Support data pulls and reconciliations between systems/reports; investigate basic variances.

Assist with month-end close tasks such as preparing support for accruals and reclasses.

Create charts, summaries, and presentations for internal stakeholders.

Document processes and support improvements to reporting accuracy and efficiency.

Support ad hoc analyses and special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field (or nearing completion).

1-2 years of relevant internship or full-time experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, basic formulas; ability to learn modeling).

Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Internship experience in Finance/Accounting/Analytics.

Exposure to ERP systems (SAP) and/or BI tools (Power BI/Tableau) is a plus.

Basic understanding of financial statements and budgeting concepts.
What Success Looks Like (First 6–12 Months)

Delivers accurate, on-time recurring reports and reconciliations.

Builds confidence working with financial data and explaining basic variances.

Improves at least one reporting/process workflow through simplification or automation.

Develops strong working relationships with Finance and cross-functional partners.
Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $70,000 - 80,000 CAD annually, plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role. This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Belden may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant’s experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
