Job Summary:
Entity controller responsible for the true and fair view of the financial statements, covering both US GAAP and local GAAP. As an accountant / a senior accountant, the candidate is responsible for at least one trading entity, plus small entities and certain regional roles.
You will make an impact in the following way:
- Attend to all accounting related matters.
- On time monthly closing to ensure accurate reporting for US GAAP and local GAAP. Set up accurate financial statements and balance sheet schedules.
- Work with local agents to manage transaction tax return (VAT, GST, withholding tax, TDS, FBT). Work with SSC on SAP setup to ensure accurate posting and reporting of tax matters. Handle corresponding enquiries and audit.
- Work with SSC and Treasury to handle difficult collection and payment issues.
- Prepare segment financial statement for the legal entity to enable Transfer Price study, review and adjustment. Execution of TP policy. Complete annual tax audit on time. Provide GAAP differences on tax matters to Tax team for the Corporate Tax calculation
- Handle annual financial audits and file statutory accounts on time.
- Support internal audit and SOX testing.
- Annual standard cost update. Review and monitor consolidation elimination to ensure proper group reporting.
- Attention to local Government incentives / refund and submit claim application
- Provide census information to local government.
- Handle various government inquiries / demand for the entities.
What you will bring:
- University graduate in accounting / finance
- Qualified accountant is a must
- At least 5 – 8 years of experience
- Knowledge of both US GAAP and local GAAP
- Knowledge of local tax law and filing requirement
- Able to communicate well in English and local language
- Big 4 background with less experience can be considered
