EMC Test Engineer
(m/f/d)

Level: Mid-Senior
You will make an impact in the following way:
- Conduct electromagnetic compatibility testing on electronic devices and systems according to industry standards (e.g., FCC, IEC/EN 61000, EMV06,DNV)
- Setup and operate EMI EMC testing equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, conducted emission measurement systems, and radiated emission measurement systems
- Perform radiated and conducted emissions testing to measure electromagnetic emissions from electronic devices
- Conduct immunity testing to evaluate the ability of electronic devices to withstand electromagnetic interference from external sources
- Carrying out comprehensive electronics tests (voltage tests, power supply, etc.) and environmental tests (temperature tests, humidity tests, etc.)
- Analyze test results and identify sources of electromagnetic interference or non-compliance with regulatory standards
- Document test procedures, results, and findings in detailed test reports
- Work closely with design engineers to recommend design changes or improvements to achieve electromagnetic compatibility
- Maintain testing equipment and ensure calibration and accuracy of measurements
- Stay current with industry standards and regulations related to electromagnetic compatibility testing
What you will bring:
- Education – Bachelor's degree or vocational training as a technician in electrical engineering or electronics
- Experience – At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Knowledge and skills – Strong understanding of electromagnetic theory and principles, electromagnetic compatibility testing methodologies and equipment as well as proficiency in using EMI/EMC testing equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and conducted/radiated emissions measurement systems, familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to electromagnetic compatibility (e.g., FCC Part 15, EN/IEC 61000 series, DNV, EMC06)
- Personality – Possesses excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, effective communication abilities for cross-functional collaboration, and the capability to work independently while managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Language proficiency – Fluency in English and German
