Lean Manager (m/w/d)

Tasks and objectives:

 

Lean Strategy & Deployment

  • Creating a sustainable and robust Lean organization, embedding Lean principles into our culture, and driving continuous improvement across all levels of the plant.
  • Develop and implement a long-term Lean roadmap aligned with plant goals.
  • Establish and maintain a robust Lean management system and daily accountability processes.
  • Champion Lean principles such as 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, SMED, TPM, and Standard Work.

 

Cultural Transformation

  • Foster a plant-wide Lean culture through coaching, training, and hands-on leadership.
  • Engage all levels of the organization to build ownership and commitment to Lean practices.
  • Promote a mindset of structured problem solving and root cause analysis (e.g., 5-Why, A3, 8D, PDCA).

 

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and lead improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Facilitate cross-functional Kaizen events and workshops.
  • Monitor and report on Lean KPIs and progress toward operational excellence.

 

Training & Capability Building

  • Develop and deliver Lean training programs for shopfloor teams, supervisors, and managers.
  • Mentor team members to become Lean champions and sustain improvements.

 

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Lean implementation within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Proven track record of building and sustaining Lean systems and culture.
  • Deep knowledge of Lean tools and methodologies.
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and change management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

 

Other requirements:

  • Good MS-Office and SAP knowledge.
  • Language skills: Fluency in German and English.
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability.
  • Influential character who inspires and motivates others.
  • Data-driven decision maker with a bias for action.
  • Resilient and adaptable in a dynamic environment.
