Manager Indirect Procurement EMEA

You will make an impact in the following way:
- Strategic Roadmap Development & Execution: Develop, implement, and continuously evolve the Indirect Procurement Roadmap for EMEA, encompassing systems, contracts, and comprehensive category strategies
- Strategic Sourcing & Consolidation: Lead strategic sourcing projects across key indirect categories (e.g., MHE, utilities, IT VAR, MRO, facilities) to consolidate suppliers, enhance service levels, and unlock significant economies of scale
- Spend Visibility & Data-Driven Models: Build and maintain robust spend visibility and data-driven analytical models to improve control, forecasting accuracy, and strategic decision-making across all indirect spend
- Regional Contract Frameworks: Establish and manage regional contract frameworks that effectively balance global leverage opportunities with specific local market needs and requirements
- Procurement Culture & Governance: Champion and embed a proactive procurement culture, ensuring strong governance, compliance, and best practices are consistently applied across the EMEA region
- Tool & Methodology Implementation: Benchmark, evaluate, and implement best-in-class procurement tools, models, and methodologies to drive efficiency and effectiveness
- EMEA Indirect Procurement Strategy & Roadmap: Full ownership of the strategic direction, development, and execution of the indirect procurement roadmap for the EMEA region
- Indirect Category Contracting Frameworks: The design, implementation, and management of all contracting frameworks for indirect categories across EMEA
- Data-Driven Spend Visibility & Supplier Performance: The establishment and ongoing management of data-driven spend visibility and comprehensive supplier performance management systems
- Category Development Projects: The initiation, leadership, and successful delivery of category development projects that yield measurable business impact (e.g., cost reduction, service improvement, risk mitigation
What you will bring:
- Education – Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related field, an MBA is a plus
- Professional Experience – Minimum of 7+ years of relevant professional experience in procurement or strategic sourcing within a global or multinational organization, at least 3+ years of proven leadership experience
- Knowledge & skills – Strong hands-on experience with SAP (e.g., MM, Ariba or similar procurement modules), advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, for analysis, reporting, and executive presentations, solid experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools and data-driven decision-making, deep understanding of indirect procurement categories and processes in an international context, including compliance, governance, and risk management, excellent presentation and communication skills, capable of clearly conveying complex topics to both operational and executive audiences
- Personality – Persuasive and confident personality with strong influencing and negotiation skills, diplomatic approach with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders across cultures, functions, and hierarchical levels, strong team-player mindset with a collaborative and inclusive leadership style, high level of intercultural competence, comfortable working in a global, metrics-driven environment
- Travel – Willingness and flexibility to travel internationally up to 30%
- Languages – Fluent in English (written and spoken), additional major European languages are a plus
