As part of the EMEA Operations Controlling team, you will act as an internal consultant for the Neckartenzlingen plant management team, proactively supporting decision makers in the preparation of operational and strategic decisions.

 

Your Tasks

  • ensure integrity of the relevant P&L and balance sheet areas
  • support the accounting team for the monthly closing activities
  • analyze deviations for cost, productivity and non financial indicators in cooperation with the responsible departments. Help develop contingency plans if needed.
  • support the budget planning and forecasting processes and analyze actual deviations
  • support decision making for the different projects with profitability analysis tools and help with the evaluation of the different project scenarios
  • create reports, ad hoc analyses and monthly target-performance reviews of the operational key performance indicators

 

Your Profile

  • degree in economics or a comparable degree with a focus on finance / controlling
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in controlling, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good understanfig of accounting processes
  • Good written and spoken English and German skills
  • strong analytical skills as well as conceptual thinking with a track record of using these skills to deliver insight, decision support and accurate forecasting
  • Result oriented and  motivated.
  • Experience with SAP, US GAAP accounting, standard costing/activity based costing systems, Hyperion Financial Management reporting system and Sarbanes Oxley processes are a plus but not essential
