Product Development Quality Manager
(m/f/d)

Level: Senior
You will make an impact in the following way:
- Ensure consistent application of process-based and risk-based thinking throughout distributed R&D organizations
- Ensure alignment between R&D quality objectives, business priorities, and rail customer requirements
- Monitor and analyze R&D performance and development results, ensuring transparency and comparability between sites
- Drive corrective actions and structured improvement plans based on KPI trends, audits, and project performance reviews
- Provide quality oversight for electronics R&D activities, including hardware, PCB design, embedded systems, and component lifecycle management for rail applications
- Ensure robust risk management practices (e.g., design FMEA, hazard analysis) are consistently applied and effectively controlled
- Ensure feedback from production, field performance, and service is systematically incorporated into R&D improvements
- Plan and execute internal audits of R&D and engineering-related interfaces with production in accordance with ISO 22163, ISO 9001, etc.
What you will bring:
- Education – Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline required as well as, ideally, quality certifications (e.g., IRIS Lead Auditor, ISO 22163/9001)
- Experience – 5+ years of experience in R&D and QM in as multi-site, global engineering environment with production interfaces
- Knowledge & skills – Strong background in design transfer, industrialization, and production ramp-up support, deep understanding of electronics development, expertise in design controls, configuration management, and change management
- Personality – Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset, able to align global teams and stakeholders to standardized processes and quality objectives while driving results with independence, integrity, and disciplined execution
- Language proficiency – Fluency in English, any other major European language is an advantage
