Senior Embedded Software Developer

You will make an impact in the following way: 

 

  • You shape Linux based architectures, designs and implementations of new product versions
  • Engage yourself in cross-functional, self-organizing and agile development teams
  • Interact and communicate with application experts, software architects and product owners in a multi-cultural and global environment
  • Identify problem root causes of complex issue scenarios and are capable to identify and implement solutions
  • Live our secure development lifecycle process, assess the security posture of devices and solutions and propose measures to strengthen the cybersecurity capabilities of Belden products
  • Develop and deliver your working results in a continuously improving work mode and permanently deliver working releases

 

 

What you will bring: 

 

  • Education – Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, communications engineering or equivalent
  • Experience – 5+ years expert experience in development of embedded Linux bootloader, driver, device trees and kernel modules
  • Knowledge and skills – You are able to identify issues on all levels of Embedded Linux OS with expert architecture know-how, broad experience with HW descriptions, boot concepts and HW/SW interfaces, excellent level in scripting, C & RUST programming, make, cmake, buildroot and YOCTO/OpenEmbedded build system, experiences in compilation, installation and delivery of runnable software in short delivery cycles (DevOps), expert level understanding of Linux license models and obligations derived from usage and interoperability
  • Personality – Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a self-motivated and proactive approach to work, you excel as a team player, adapt quickly to changing environments and emerging technologies
  • Language proficiency – You are fluent in spoken and written English and have the ability or willingness to work in a German speaking environment
