Technical Writer

Place: Neckartenzlingen
Type: Hybrid/Full-Time
Level: Mid-Senior
You will make an impact in the following way:
- Concept development, effort and cost estimation, creation including technical illustrations, translation management and change management of user information
- Creation and editing of information units in a media-neutral and development-oriented way, based on XML as Docs-as-Code in a distributed version control system
- Research and preparation of complex topics for our software products
- Development and continuous improvement of editorial processes in an agile environment, processes for collaboration with other departments, and processes for creating customer-specific user information
- Coordination and management of external service providers
- Translation management, creation of translations, and maintenance of translation memories with English as the source language
What you will bring:
- Education – You have a technical education (electronics, mechatronics, IT system electronics, or comparable) or a completed degree in translation studies, communication and media management, computer science, electrical engineering or a comparable field
- Experience – Several years of professional experience desirable as well as initial expertise and practical experience in the area of local networks (Ethernet, switching, routing, security)
- Knowledge & skills – Understanding of content management systems (DITA, GIT) & translation management, knowledge of XML, HTML & CSS
- Personality – Team player with the ability to grasp complex issues quickly
- Language proficiency – Very good English and good German skills, both written and spoken & initial experience with Simplified Technical English
