You will make an impact in the following way:
- Together with your team, you ensure the quality of Embedded Linux-based products and constantly improve them
- As part of an agile software development team, you will take care of the expansion of test automation with a focus on the Linux kernel and device drivers
- You support the developers in the implementation and execution of functional tests in the context of low-level system components
- Define test strategies and test plans specifically for embedded platforms and kernel interfaces
- Design test cases based on user stories and their acceptance criteria, particularly for kernel modules and system-level functions
- Develop and are responsible for the conception and execution of explorative, manual tests in sprint, targeting edge cases and kernel behavior
- Continuous expansion of automated regression tests and integration into the Continuous Integration environment are the main focus
What you will bring:
- Education – Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, communications engineering or equivalent
- Experience – You have profound experience in state-of-the-art test methodology and testing frameworks, implementing automated tests at kernel and system level, including unit, functional, and integration tests
- Knowledge and skills – Deep understanding of the Embedded Linux ecosystem and kernel-space development, experience with kernel debugging, device tree configuration, and scripting languages, especially Python, in-depth knowledge of layer 2 and 3 network protocols is highly advantageous
- Personality – Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a self-motivated and proactive approach to work, you excel as a team player, adapt quickly to changing environments and emerging technologies
- Language proficiency – Fluency in English (written and spoken) and ability or willingness to work in German-speaking environment
