Liderar al equipo de planeación para cumplir con los requerimientos de clientes y los métricos de OTD (On time Delivery), PDBL (Past Due Backlog) e inventario. 
El Gerente de planeación filtra y analiza la información recibida por parte de servicio al cliente, de producción y de la alta gerencia para asignar prioridades de trabajo al equipo de planeación y producción. 
Analiza las cargas de trabajo de la unidad y de cada celda y decide la manera óptima de procesar las órdenes. Dependiendo de estas cargas, ajusta los Current Lead Times (tiempos de entrega) de los productos finales. 
Controla, evalúa y propone el nivel de Kanban de Finish Goods.
