Job Summary:

Beldens EHS Manager operates as the expert relating to all environmental, safety, and security programs, policies, and procedures in accordance with government regulations and company policies. This role is responsible for technical development, implementation, and management of environmental and safety activities concerning environmental regulatory compliance and sustainability, safety regulatory compliance and employee training, workers compensation case support, security, and other issues as applicable.

 

You will make an impact in the following way:

  • Develop, implement, train, and communicate environmental, safety, security Programs to ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies. Monitor facilities for compliance with local, state, and federal EPA and OSHA regulations and Belden Corporate EHS policies.
  • Interpret environmental and safety laws and regulations, corporate EHS requirements, and implement the requirements into the plant operations and compliance programs.
  • Develop, prepare, and conduct environmental safety training to ensure compliance and employee understanding. This includes but not limited to hazardous waste, hazardous materials, confined space, lockout/tagout, PPE, storm water, and contingency and spill plans. Ensure training records are maintained and up to date.

 

What you will bring:

  • Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent in chemical, civil engineering safety, environmental science or related discipline.
  • Markets 5-7 years experience in industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of policies, regulations, and specifications of requirements governing EPA, DOT, OSHA, NFPA, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Customers Define our Success - Experience in manufacturing environment with specific environmental compliance experience preferred.
