Job Summary: As a Senior Specialist, Events & Experience, APAC, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and elevating the Belden brand experience across our external and internal events throughout the Asia-Pacific region. You will drive the execution of our comprehensive experience strategy to maximize market impact, foster strong customer relationships, and significantly enhance overall customer engagement. This includes being instrumental in optimizing the customer journey and experience at our Customer Innovation Centers (CICs) and Customer Innovation Gateways (CIGs) across APAC. This role reports directly to the Events & Experience Leader.
You will make an impact in the following ways:
- Strategic Event Leadership: Lead the end-to-end planning, execution, and post-event analysis for all regional events (both internal and external) across APAC. This encompasses strategic coordination, vendor management, agenda development, logistical oversight, and ensuring a seamless on-site and digital experience that aligns with Belden's brand objectives.
- Brand & Messaging Consistency: Partner strategically with cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Product) to ensure brand consistency, compelling design, and unified messaging across all event touchpoints, reinforcing Belden's market position and value proposition.
- Lead Generation & Optimization: Collaborate closely with Growth Marketing, Marketing Operations, Partner Marketing, and Digital Marketing teams to optimize lead generation, management, and tracking processes, ensuring effective follow-up and conversion from all events.
- Performance Measurement & ROI: Proactively define clear success metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each event in collaboration with the Events & Experience Leader. Conduct thorough ROI analysis and leverage data-driven insights to inform future event strategies and drive continuous improvement.
- Budget Management & Cost Optimization: Manage and optimize event budgets, overseeing all expenses, vendor negotiations, and payment processes to ensure fiscal responsibility and maximize value for every investment.
- Vendor & Asset Management: Cultivate and manage strong relationships with a diverse range of external vendors (e.g., exhibit houses, venues, suppliers) to ensure high-quality service delivery and seamless event logistics. Oversee the inventory and lifecycle management of all event assets and promotional merchandise, ensuring brand compliance and readiness.
- Process Innovation & Efficiency: Drive continuous improvement and innovation in event planning and execution processes, leveraging new technologies and methodologies to enhance efficiency, scalability, and the overall attendee experience.
- Global Collaboration & Best Practices: Actively connect and collaborate with peers in the AMS (Americas) and EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) Events & Experience teams to share insights, incorporate global best practices, and foster continuous improvement in event strategies and execution worldwide.
- Customer Innovation Center (CIC) & Gateway (CIG) Oversight: Oversee the operational readiness and technological infrastructure of regional CICs and CIGs. This includes coordinating hardware maintenance, upgrades, and managing dynamic content updates for CMS and SharePoint pages to ensure a cutting-edge and engaging visitor experience.
- Strategic CIC/CIG Engagement: Collaborate strategically with Sales and Solution Consulting Services (SCS) teams to facilitate and optimize CIC/CIG customer engagements. Implement robust visitor feedback mechanisms to continuously enhance the customer journey and actively participate in global CIC projects and workshops to ensure regional alignment with Belden's global innovation strategy.
What you will bring:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Event Management, Communications, or a similar relevant field.
- Experience: Minimum of 6+ years of progressive experience in event management, experiential marketing, or a related marketing field, with a significant focus on the APAC region.
- Desired Abilities and Skills:
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English (additional APAC languages are a strong plus).
- Proven expertise in end-to-end project management, capable of overseeing complex, multi-faceted events simultaneously.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills, with a track record of optimizing costs and securing favourable terms.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, manage multiple priorities effectively, and adapt to changing demands.
- Proficiency with event management software, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud is a plus.
- A deep understanding of APAC market nuances, cultural sensitivities, and regional business practices in event execution.
