Job Summary
As part of Belden’s Customer Innovation Center team, you will lead and execute the technical strategies and initiatives defined with the regional sales teams. Starting from lead nurturing to post-sales support, the Solution Consultant is a technical partner of the solution sales and supports regional organic growth by converting customers’ ideas and visions into customized One Belden solutions enabling guaranteed business outcomes.
You will make an impact in the following way:
- Drive Belden funnel growth and success rate through developing and delivering outcome-based solutions to customers managed by the sales teams.
- Provide technical leadership in solutions that utilize the capability of all Belden brands, ecosystem partners and 3rd party products.
- Provide technical leadership in response to all Request for Quotation (RFQ), and the preparation of technical proposals.
- Collaborate with the Solution Support team in the development and execution of Proof of Concepts (POCs), Factory Acceptance Test (FATs), and network audits.
- Demonstrate solid knowledge and understanding of key industry technologies and market trends.
- Provide technical/market insights to internal teams to enable project wins.
- Design and support technology campaigns such as webinars, roadshows, trade fairs, etc.
- Represent customers’ voice in Business Unit strategy and new product introduction processes.
What you will bring:
- Education - Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent with a focus on IT or Industrial Automation.
- Background
- At least 5 years of experience in solution creation in an Industrial or Enterprise environment
- Proven track record within a sales and service role, with a focus on technical consulting and consultative sales
- Well versed in wired and wireless IP networking technologies, with strong fundamentals in Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and cellular communication protocols
- Competencies
- Ability to create CVP‘s (Customer Viable Product) with multi-product solutions and technologies
- Strong know-how and experience in industrial processes of manufacturing and infrastructures
- Experience in OT/IT technical know-how (e.g. Cloud, IIoT, Edge, AI/ML) and application insights
- Independent and self-sufficient, with a proven ability to take initiative, manage tasks without constant supervision, and make sound decisions autonomously
- Excellent critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations, break down problems, and develop effective solutions quickly
- Highly collaborative team player with a passion for continuous learning and growth
