Job Purpose
The Solution Consultant is responsible for developing and designing secure, scalable, network solutions in converged IT / OT environments. The Cybersecurity SC is a pre-sales, customer-facing team member responsible for driving pipeline velocity & conversion – engaging in discovery, solution positioning, technical validation, and executive-level value articulation. They are a critical business partner to our clients and sales teams by enabling IT / OT Convergence Solutions and Physical AI applications across focused industry verticals. This key position is responsible for helping fuel our solutions growth, leveraging Belden’s full suite of products, solutions and services.
Successful Candidates Will:
- Support Business Development: The SC is responsible for helping discover client’s business requirements for securing networks and data, present relevant use case and technical solutions, and accelerate proposal and acceptance of Cybersecurity Solutions.

- Own The Technical Strategy: Support selection and alignment with relevant cybersecurity vendor ecosystems (IT and OT), including Claroty, Nozomi, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, and Cisco.
- Demonstrate Business or Financial Impact: Deliver demos, workshops, and hands-on validations that provide business or financial impact; Own the technical strategy, planning, and execution of PoCs/PoVs, including success criteria, test plans, and measurable outcomes. Provide tie-back from Success Criteria to Advance Opportunity Closure.
- Provide Assessment Scope & Customer Advisory: Support customer assessments and advisory discussions aligned to IEC 62443, NIST CSF, and NIST SP 800-82; Translate assessment findings into prioritized remediation roadmaps and solution-aligned proposals (quick wins, phased improvements, long-term security architecture).
- Accelerate Opportunity Conversion & Revenue Capture: Use strong consultative approach to accelerate interest and activate decision maker engagement; Deliver bookings for Solutions, Services and SLA’s facilitating customer success and continued stakeholder engagement.
- Create Validated Solutions: Using Belden NAC, Firewall and Software Solutions, design and recommend architectures, deployment approaches and integration points to secure converged IT / OT networks. Create BOM, align recommendations, technical scope and implementation approach in coordination with delivery resources.

The Solution Consultant is responsible for providing feedback and insights to their Practice, as well as cross-functional teams across the AMS business, and is accountable for achieving key KPIs and objectives.
Education & Experience
- 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, pre-sales engineering, solutions consulting or security architecture (Industrial / OT strongly preferred)
- Demonstrated success supporting business development activities, discovery, qualification, executive messaging and technical validation leading to opportunity velocity and closed revenue.
- Hands-on knowledge of core security domains, i.e. segmentation, firewall policy, SRA, asset visibility, vulnerability / risk and incident response
- Familiarity with industrial security frameworks & standards and the ability to translate them into actionable scopes and solutions, i.e. IEC 62443, NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-82
Other essential qualifications
- Strong communication skills: able to present to engineering teams and senior executives, and produce clear, customer-ready documentation (proposals, diagrams, PoC plans, readouts)
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required to perform the duties of the role (50% + frequency of travel)
- Experience in OT security platforms and/or industrial cybersecurity vendors such as Claroty, Nozomi, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Cisco (or comparable) preferred
- Experience designing security architectures for manufacturing, energy, utilities, transportation, or other critical infrastructure environments.
- Ability to lead workshops (threat modeling, segmentation strategy, remote access design, risk and maturity discussions) with cross-functional stakeholders (IT, OT, engineering, operations) preferred
- CISSP, CISM and / or CISA certification desired, but not required; GIAC, CCNP, PCNSE, Fortinet NSE, Vendor OT Certs Preferred.
- English fluency to business standard essential

Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $125,000-$160,000.00, plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role. This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Belden may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant’s experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
