Job Summary:
The Sr. Manager, Strategic Sourcing is responsible for developing and executing global sourcing strategies for real estate and large projects. This role drives procurement initiatives that deliver measurable savings, mitigate risk, and support business growth. The position partners with cross-functional teams and strategic suppliers, including Procurement Finance, to ensure cost savings and avoidance are accurately tracked and reported. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement global sourcing strategies for real estate and high-value projects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee procurement execution for major projects, ensuring alignment with scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Provide reports and analysis on procurement activities, performance metrics, and strategic insights to management.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the category, advising regional procurement teams and supporting global consistency.
  • Lead, engage, and develop direct reports, fostering talent and succession planning.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of procurement experience, including 3–5 years in indirect categories (real estate/facilities).
  • Proven record of leading large-scale sourcing initiatives and achieving global cost savings.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience managing complex supplier relationships.
  • Proficient in financial modeling, cost analysis, and Microsoft Office.
  • While this opportunity is remote, ability to travel up to 20% of the time will be expected.

  • Experience partnering with finance teams.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, process management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership presence and experience developing team members.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior leadership.

 

Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $120,000 - 145,000 annually, plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role.  This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Belden may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant’s experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
