Job Summary:
As an Equipment Maintenance Intern (Cable Manufacturing), you will support daily maintenance and continuous improvement activities for cable production equipment. You will work on the shop floor, assisting engineers and technicians to ensure equipment runs safely, reliably, and efficiently, while building hands-on skills in mechanical/electrical troubleshooting and maintenance documentation.
You will make an impact in the following way:
- Support daily inspection, lubrication, preventive maintenance, initial failure diagnosis, and maintenance record for cable production equipment.
- Follow up on equipment abnormalities: collect downtime reasons, compile MTBF/MTTR data, track spare parts consumption, and maintain spare parts ledger.
- Assist shop-floor improvements to reduce downtime and scrap caused by wire breakage, eccentricity, and OD fluctuation (under engineer guidance).
- Assist in organizing and updating equipment documentation such as asset lists, SOP/WI, inspection checklists, PM plans, and spare parts lists (under engineer guidance).
What you will bring:
- College/University student (Associate/Bachelor ongoing) in Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Intelligent Manufacturing, or related majors.
- Willing to work on the shop floor; strong hands-on ability; strong ownership and safety awareness.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel/Word); able to perform basic data statistics and charts.
- Basic electrical/mechanical knowledge; ability to read simple electrical/mechanical drawings is a plus.
