Schedule: First Shift 8am or 5am TBD on time zone
Pay: $53,000-55,000
A logistics coordinator manages the daily activities in a company’s supply chain. Using organization, communication and problem-solving skills, they coordinate transportation, warehousing and delivery activities to help ensure goods easily move from their origins to their destinations, supporting several departments inside Belden, like Customer Service, Purchasing, Distribution Centers, Manufacturing Sites, suppliers and customers.
Responsibilities
- Planning and coordinating logistics for transportation of Raw materials, products and machinery for Domestic and oversees shipments
- Managing schedules to optimize delivery efficiency and customer service
- Resolving any transportation and logistics issues that arise
- Tracking deliveries and ensuring that all goods arrive on time and undamaged
- Documenting and reporting on transportation activities, costs, and performance metrics
- Communication with Carriers when needed, including all Modes like Ocean, Air Freight, Ground.
- Support Transportation Complaints resolution
- Manage and maintain all transport documentation
- collaboration with other departments regarding transportation activities
- Reducing costs by negotiating with carriers and optimizing routes
- Ensuring compliance with transportation and global trade regulations
- Managing bills of lading and other shipping documentation, such as packing lists and proof of delivery
Qualifications
- 1-2 years freight/logistics/international transportation or supply chain analytics experience – Demonstrated ability to operate in multi-regional, cross-border freight environments.
- Strong analytics and data governance skills
- Working knowledge of international freight modes and cost structures – Understanding of ocean/air/road dynamics, surcharges, Incoterms, and international trade basics.
- Language requirement - Fluent English (written and spoken) is required in this role. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office tools
- Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities
- Excellent customer service skills to negotiate and communicate with collaborators
Preferred qualifications (nice to have)
- Experience with TMS/ERP systems
- Familiarity with freight audit processes
- Experience supporting RFQ/RFP processes
