Shipping Associate

You will make an impact in the following way:

• Ensuring correct and on time invoicing, transport booking and loading.
• Prioritizing order processes based on stakeholder signals and carrier agreements.
• Organizing transport within and outside the EU.
• Effective coordination with (express) carriers and various departments.
• Ensuring completeness and accuracy of transport documents.
• Handling shipping and transport complaints.
• Proactive contribution to realize sustainable process improvements.
  
  

What you will bring:

Communication

• Being a team player with a positive “We can together do” mindset and behavior.
• Effective communication skills to align with colleagues (especially within the Distribution Center and with Customer Service) and carriers.
• Professional English communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate urgent transport needs and transport escalations with involved stakeholders.
• Writing, reviewing and updating of work instructions of own department and training colleagues.
• Ability to align with teammates, including workload assignment, joining planned meetings and contributing to spontaneous needed alignments.
• Reporting detected process issues/improvements to other departments.

Competences and experience

• Ability to prioritize sequence of own and department’s activities.
• Ability to make decisions based on limited datasets
• Minimum 3 years relevant work experience in a shipping, transport and/or export environment.
• Having experience with transport and export documents.
• Microsoft Excel skills.
• ERP experience, pre: SAP, SAP4/Hana.
