  • Place: Venlo, the Netherlands
  • Type: Full-time, hybrid
  • Level: Medior

This position supports the execution of Belden’s House of Freight by enabling freight spend visibility, lane-level analytics, carrier and forwarder performance management, digital reporting, trade compliance visibility, and regional optimization across APAC and EMEA freight networks.

This role converts freight data into actionable insights that improve cost, service, working capital, risk visibility, carrier and forwarder accountability, compliance, and operational discipline across all transportation modes. The position supports the Global Freight & Logistics roadmap by ensuring regional freight decisions align with global standards, routing guide compliance, carrier and forwarder governance, TMS enablement, trade compliance requirements, and continuous improvement priorities.

You will make an impact in the following way:

  • Build and maintain APAC & EMEA freight spend visibility and lane-level analytics across all modes (ocean, air, road, rail, parcel, multimodal) using BI/TMS/ERP data.
  • Convert freight data into actionable optimization opportunities (lane consolidation, mode shift, load factor improvement, consolidation programs, premium freight and accessorial reduction) and track savings realization.
  • Support carrier and forwarder governance through KPI monitoring, scorecards, SLA tracking, QBR preparation, and corrective action follow-up.
  • Enable digital reporting and data discipline by improving dashboards, automated reporting, exception alerts, and end-to-end data integrity across systems and provider portals.
  • Strengthen risk, trade compliance, and ESG visibility by monitoring disruptions, invoice accuracy, documentation gaps, Incoterms/customs handoffs, claims, and (where available) freight emissions improvement opportunities.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree related to Supply Chain or Logistics – Provides a solid foundation for analytics-driven freight decision-making.
  • 3–5 years freight/logistics/international transportation or supply chain analytics experience – Demonstrated ability to operate in multi-regional, cross-border freight environments.
  • Strong analytics and data governance skills – Ability to build cost-driver models, KPI dashboards, and consistent “single source of truth” reporting.
  • Working knowledge of international freight modes and cost structures – Understanding of ocean/air/road dynamics, surcharges, Incoterms, and international trade basics.
  • Stakeholder and provider management capability – Comfortable partnering across regions/time zones and supporting carrier/forwarder performance management, RFQs/RFPs, and governance routines.
  • Language requirement - Fluent English (written and spoken) is required in this role. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

Preferred qualifications (nice to have)

  • Experience with TMS/ERP systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA preferred)
  • Familiarity with freight audit processes
  • Experience supporting RFQ/RFP processes
  • Working knowledge of AEO / C-TPAT trade compliance requirements
