LOGISTICS ENGINEER - FREIGHT ANALYTICS & OPTIMIZATION

___________________________________________________________

  • Place: Venlo, the Netherlands
  • Type: Full-time, hybrid
  • Level: Medior

You will make a difference in the following ways:

You'll be part of Belden's Global Freight & Logistics team, reporting directly to the Director of Global Freight & Logistics. It's a small, focused team with a clear mandate: make our freight smarter, cheaper, and more transparent, across APAC and EMEA.

Concretely, this means:

  • Building and maintaining freight dashboards and spend analytics (ocean, air, road, parcel) across both regions
  • Translating data into savings:  lane consolidation, mode shifts, load factor improvements, accessorial reduction
  • Tracking carrier and forwarder performance through KPIs, scorecards, and quarterly reviews
  • Supporting freight sourcing events (RFQ/RFP) with solid analytical groundwork
  • Keeping our data clean and consistent across TMS, ERP (SAP), and BI tools

This is primarily an analytical and execution role. You'll be the person who spots the inefficiency in the data and drives it to resolution, not setting freight strategy, but owning the numbers that inform it.

What your bring:
  • 3–5 years of experience in freight, logistics, or supply chain analytics
  • Comfortable with Excel, BI tools, and freight data across international modes
  • You know your way around ocean surcharges, Incoterms, and cross-border freight basics
  • Fluent English; Dutch or another language is a plus
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA or a TMS? Great, not a must-have

We're not looking for someone who ticks every box above. If freight analytics and optimization is your thing, we'd like to talk.

What Belden offers:

  • Competitive salary + annual bonus
  • Hybrid working
  • 27 vacation days
  • Good pension with employer addition of 20,5%
  • Flexible working time
  • A real scope: two regions, all modes, direct impact on freight cost

Let’s Create Possibilities Together.

Join a global community shaping the future of intelligent connectivity. At Belden, you’ll help push the boundaries of technology and write the next chapter of innovation, creating possibilities for your career, your future, and the world around you.
