Reports to: Head of Material Management EMEA
Location: Budapest, Hungary
Travel: Occasional international travel (<20%), with higher travel (up to 30%) expected initially
Scope: ~8 FTEs located across Germany, Hungary, the Netherlands, and the Czech Republic
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, manage, and develop the Finished Goods Planning teams located in Germany, Hungary, the Netherlands, and the Czech Republic.
- Support team growth through coaching, training, and performance management.
- Planning & Supply Chain Coordination
- Ensure accurate and timely finished goods planning for products manufactured within EMEA and outsourced to Belden plants in China, India, and the USA.
- Drive strong collaboration with the Demand Planning team within the S&OP process to align material plans with customer needs and strategic objectives.
- Inventory Strategy & Optimization
- Define and improve stocking strategies (Make-to-Stock / Make-to-Order) based on ABC/XYZ analysis and demand plan inputs.
- Manage inventory performance, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and optimize stock levels while meeting service level goals.
- Process & Systems Management
- Act as the process owner for planning-related Master Data, ensuring accuracy, visibility, and ongoing improvement.
- Develop, implement, and maintain planning standards, tools, and reports.
- Monitor key planning KPIs and ensure process compliance and best practices across the region.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with manufacturing plants to ensure reliable material supply
- Coordinate with order fulfillment and logistics to ensure timely delivery to customers.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Proven experience in material and inventory management, ideally within a multinational or multi-plant manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to coach and develop diverse, international teams.
- Strong planning and analytical skills; able to translate business objectives into executable plans.
- Expertise in SAP (especially MRP modules). Experience in BPCS-ERP-System is an advantage.
- High level of initiative, flexibility, and a pragmatic, hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Languages: Fluent in Hungarian and English. Additional proficiency in German, Czech, or Dutch is a strong advantage.
