The Director, Talent & Performance Management is a strategic HR leader responsible for driving Belden’s global talent strategy, ensuring our workforce and leadership pipeline are aligned with business needs. This role leads initiatives in succession planning, internal mobility, performance enablement, high-potential development, career frameworks, and strategic workforce planning. Partnering closely with senior business leaders and HR peers, this leader will create the processes and programs that strengthen leadership capability, enable internal career growth, and sustain a high-performance culture. Preferred location is greater Indianapolis or Chicago, but we're open to remote candidate.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Talent Management
- Lead strategic workforce planning to align workforce capabilities with current and future business strategy.
- Design and govern Belden’s enterprise-wide talent strategy and policies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Drive succession planning and talent reviews to ensure a strong and diverse pipeline of future-ready leaders.
Performance & Career Enablement
- Oversee the global performance management cycle, ensuring consistency, fairness, and meaningful outcomes.
- Build and evolve career frameworks and competency models that enable career progression and talent mobility.
- Drive initiatives that support internal mobility and create clear pathways for employees to grow within Belden.
Leadership & High-Potential Development
- Lead efforts to identify, assess, and accelerate development of high-potential employees at all levels.
- Ensure individual Career Development Plans and succession plans are actively managed and executed.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including significant experience in talent management, workforce planning, and performance management.
- Proven ability to influence and partner with executives and senior leaders across functions.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and executive presence skills.
Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $155,000 - $225,000 annually, plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role. This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Belden may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant’s experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
