Belden’s IT Internship offers current students an opportunity to work on important business projects, collaborate with experienced managers and deliver real results for the organization. Over the course of twelve weeks, you will gain hands-on experience creating real business solutions while also developing project management skills, interpersonal skills, and field-specific knowledge.  

 

As a member of our 2026 Internship Program, you’ll be fully immersed with a global team of IT experts eager to teach and learn from you along the way. These fast-paced, project-based internship positions are ideal for students who are interested in developing themselves personally, while also making a substantial contribution to the company. You’ll work towards goals, deliver results, and present to business leaders.  

We offer opportunities to work in our office in Richmond, IN. 

 

How you can add value within the IT function: 

  • Lead Security Operations Center investigations to ensure Incident Response processes and procedures are followed 

  • Review and assist in the creation of standard operating procedures 

  • Perform Threat Hunting and complete Endpoint, Detection, Response (EDR) dispositions 

  • Develop Tableau analytics 

  • Build insightful reporting dashboards for internal leaders in other regions

  • Academic Achievement – you are pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Management Information Systems, Informatics, Computer Technology, or related fields of study, and have completed at least two years of undergraduate coursework

  • Intellectual Curiosity – creative problem solving, critical thinking, a desire to learn and a questioning attitude will prepare you for success  

  • Other Skills to Foster Success – analytical and determined, with strong communication and relationship building abilities
