In a Manufacturing Technician role, you will work in a manufacturing environment where the following duties will be completed; perform various assembly (including soldering), configuration, test and packaging operations on industrial automation products. Manufacturing Technicians will work in a fast-paced environment utilizing many different types of industrial automation support equipment so you need to have a good fundamental knowledge about manufacturing and production concepts. The ability to comprehend technical procedures and processes is a must. High attention to detail and good problem-solving skills are keys to success in this role.
- Working on and monitoring the output of an assembly station, assembly test station, and packaging station. This includes basic assembly, configuration, testing, and packaging of industrial automation products.
- Understanding the manufacturing process in detail, troubleshooting at an appropriate level, and involving senior staff members if/when you are not able to correct the problem.
- Monitor and check product quality as you will be responsible for identifying when the process is deviating from the norm and taking action to correct it.
- Understand product assembly, configuration, test, and packaging documentation.
- Understand lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste in the production process.
- Follow internal protocols and standard work guidelines as well as following good manufacturing practices to maintain site compliance to certified quality standards.
- Promotes all safety rules and initiatives.
- Personally responsible for the safety of self and others in their work area.
- General cleaning and housekeeping of the area. 5S
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
