Job Summary:
The Automation Technician is responsible for the repair and maintenance of the automated assembly machines and process equipment.
Regular work schedule will reflect Sunday – Thursday; 11:00PM– 7:30pm
Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $25-$32 per hour plus 10% differential for second or third shift. This is the reasonable estimate for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Pay could be more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant’s experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
You will make a difference in the following ways:
- Troubleshoots and repairs automated assembly and process equipment
- Sets-up automated assembly and process equipment for specific production runs
- Supports the production floor by answering equipment repair and trouble-shooting requests. This includes interacting with and gather information from Line Leaders and Machine Operators in a professional manner
- Performs preventative or corrective maintenance on automated assembly systems, process, and ancillary equipment
- Installs, sets-up, and rebuilds automation assembly and process equipment as required
- Provides excellent internal customer service to the Machine Operators through quick response time, effective communication, and resolution of issues
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion, abiding by company rules and safety regulations
- Maintains work schedule flexibility to perform necessary overtime and/or weekend work
- Performs all other duties as assigned or required
What you bring:
- Education & Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical Certification or Vocational Training and three (3) years of related experience.
- Knowledge: Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with electrical hand tools and precision measuring devices; Basic knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLC’s, Rockwell Automation Software, Cognex Vision Systems, and Keyence Vision systems. Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn and use SAP
- Specific Skills: Ability to identify and solve problems quickly while performing quality, accurate work under pressure. Ability to work effectively in a team environment in a culturally diverse workplace.
