The Screw Machine Support will be cross-trained in all job functions that provide support to the Screw Machine Department. The Screw Machine Support role will support the Screw Machine department by ensuring the cleanliness of the overall department and providing adequate material to the appropriate machines.
Regular work schedule will reflect Monday – Thursday 3pm – 1am.
Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $17.00 - $18.00 per hour. This is a reasonable estimate for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Pay could be more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant’s experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
You will make a difference in the following ways:
- Issues and de-issues bar stock to the Screw Machine department as needed.
- Unloads raw material and delivers to machines or raw material storage as required.
- Operates fork trucks, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes after successfully acquiring a PPC license to operate machinery.
- Cuts and disposes of scrap material.
- Operates riding and walk-behind floor scrubbing equipment to maintain facility floors for safe pedestrian & vehicular traffic.
- Move bar stock carts and parts washers to access the floor for cleaning.
- Recycles cleaning solution and maintains all recycling and cleaning equipment.
- Collect parts from each department and transport them to the wash area. Loads parts in racks, then load into the machine and cycle automatically.
- Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion, abiding by company rules and safety regulations.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
What you bring:
- Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED
- Knowledge of General computer skills with the ability to use and learn SAP.
- Basic mechanical abilities and ability to use hand and power tools.
- Ability to become forklift certified.
- Special Skills: Forklift License an OSHA Certification a plus.
- Customers Define Our Success: Provide support to the production floor, answer equipment repair and trouble-shooting requests to eliminate machine downtime and ensure continuous production.
