Manager System Software

Level: Senior

You will make an impact in the following way: 

• Disciplinary leadership of agile, cross-functional software development teams
• Responsibility for the professional development of existing employees and the recruitment of new team members
• Close collaboration with product development teams and their stakeholders (e.g., hardware and software platform)
• Applying own technical expertise to specific topics such as embedded software, architecture, software testing, and continuous integration
• Proactive involvement in the strategic direction of the System Platform Ethernet Switches
• Management of embedded software development partners and suppliers
• Introduction and improvement of department-specific processes and tools

What you will bring: 

• Education – Degree in computer science, electrical engineering, communications engineering, or a comparable field
• Experience – 10+ years in low-level embedded software development and, at least, first experience in leading employees in an agile environment
• Knowledge & skills – In-depth knowledge of embedded software development (C/C++, Embedded Linux, device drivers) as well as networking (switching, routing, security)
• Personality – Strong ability to guide and develop empoyees, strong communication skills, a hands-on mentality as well as a business-oriented and entrepreneurial mindset
• Language proficiency – Fluency in English and German
