Job Summary:

Senior Embedded Software Engineer (m/f/d)/ Industrial Automation Protocols

Development of complex industrial communication applications in an international environment.

Responsibilities:

• Definition and development of software components and active contribution to innovative solutions in the field of active I/O systems in Industrial Ethernet networks
• Product development based on Industrial Ethernet technologies
• Analysis and definition of technical requirements for new product development projects
• Definition and review of software tasks in an agile development process
• Definition of system tests including product approval tests
• Observation and analysis of relevant technologies in the market

Required Skills and Experience

• Master's degree in computer science, communication technologies or a comparable degree
• Several years of professional experience in product developmentaround of industrial automation products
• Very good knowledge of the programming language C
• Knowledge in real-time OS for embedded systems
• Knowledge in industrial automation protocols such as PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, Modbus/TCP, OPC-UA, MQTT etc.
• Knowledge in Python, GNU make and GIT
• Ideally:
  • -Knowledge of embedded web-server technology (HTML, JSON and Java Script)
  • -Experience with SCRUM and Secure Software Lifecycle
  • -Knowledge in reading electronic schematics
• Good teamwork skills, as well as quick comprehension and problem-solving skills
• Good spoken and written English skills and ideally German
