Job Summary:

The Materials Manager is responsible for the comprehensive management of material resources within a company, ensuring the timely availability of supplies, products, and equipment necessary for operations. This role involves overseeing the entire lifecycle of materials, from procurement to usage, storage, and distribution.This position reports directly to Plant Manager and will work from our Nogales, Sonora office.



Responsibilities:

# Direct and Supervise Plant purchasing, Warehouse, Shipping and Receiving departments and processes.# Assures timely delivery of needed raw and expense materials. # Maintain Inventory levels to ensure on time deliveries and achieve inventory turns target.# Identify Excess and Obsolete material and work with other departments to provide disposition.# Handle Raw Material transportation damage claims and disposition. # Works with suppliers to ensure on time delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment. # Maintain inventory accuracy.# Responsible for metrics reporting and attainment. # Identify Excess and Obsolete material and work with other departments to provide disposition.# Assures department performance in compliance with ISO -9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016 & ISO-14001:2015. # Plan, direct, and control all activities of the assigned department with the objective of ensuring that the necessary systems are in place to monitor and improve plant key performance indicators. # Oversees the review and appraisal of all department personnel. # Ensures that the company standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with all materials department functions. # Hire, train and directs personnel in assigned department to achieve.# In addition, allthe activities inherent to the position.



Required Skills and Experience

Education: Bachelor's degree

Experience: o Minimum five years of manufacturing experience in Supply Chain areas.o Five to eight years management experience.o Inventory Control Systems knowledge.o MRP Systems Knowledge.o Lean Manufacturing and ISO - 9001:2015 & 14001:2015o Development and Implementation of New Processes.

Knowledge\skills: o Outstanding Leadership, Organization & Communication skills.o Proactive. o Results driven. o Fast Learner. o Customer Service Oriented.o Value and Control Personnel needs.o Able to work under pressure and provide effective actions for unexpected opportunities
