FACTORY ACCEPTANCE

TESTING ENGINEER

Type: full-time, on-site

Level: junior/medior

 

The Factory Acceptance Test Engineer configures and tests datacommunication solutions. These solutions include Belden XTran products (MPLS-TP backbone product) and can also include other Belden or 3rd party telecommunication products. The majority of the factory acceptance tests is attended by customers, and/or by a 3rd party inspector.

 

You will make an impact in the following way:


• Set up and configure a datacommunication network in accordance with the solution design as approved by the customer. This solution includes Belden XTran products (MPLS-TP backbone product) and can also include other Belden or 3rd party telecommunication products.
• Pre-test the solution according to the test protocol as agreed with the customer.
• Perform the acceptance testing of the solution in presence of the customer and/or 3rd party inspectors.
• In case issues are found during the pre-testing or during the acceptance testing, troubleshoot, diagnose and solve the configuration issues.
• Repair XTran products hardware, set up the products forming the datacommunication backbone, make optical and electrical connections, and perform functional testing.

  • Strong technical knowledge – Broad knowledge and deep understanding of datacommunication network technologies, e.g., MPLS, Ethernet, IP, C37.94.
  • Hands-on expertise – Thorough expertise in datacommunication hardware equipment and test tools for such equipment.
  • Customer-focused mindset – Able to professionally explain and present technical information to customers.
  • Calm under pressure – You remain composed and solution-oriented even in challenging situations.
  • Eagerness to learn – Technologies evolve quickly, and you're motivated to keep up.
