LOGISTICS MANAGER

As Logistics Manager, you are responsible for leading the team that handles all logistics activities related to the Belden Olen plant. You will be supported by a team of currently 4 direct reports. The Belden Olen plant delivers not only products but also complex projects across the globe. In this role, you will work closely with various departments such as Project Management, Sales, Strategic Procurement, Trade Compliance, and others.

You bring deep knowledge of logistics processes and strong operational experience, enabling you to guide your team and continuously improve performance.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure on-time deliveries and inventory optimization
  • Oversee and support your team in:
    • Order entry
    • Material planning and procurement
    • Inventory management
    • Export/shipping documentation
    • Organizing transportation
    • Registration of material and production master data in the ERP system
  • Drive continuous improvement of logistics processes
  • Provide hands-on leadership and coaching to your team
  • Utilize ERP systems (e.g., Navision, SAP) to optimize logistics operations
  • Support the implementation of supply chain-related projects

• Guaranteeing timely and accurate global deliveries of complex projects
• Reducing inventory costs while maintaining service levels
• Enhancing team performance through strong leadership and support
• Improving logistics workflows through ERP-driven process optimization
• Strengthening cross-functional collaboration across departments

 

What you will bring:

 

Extensive logistics experience – Over 5 years in supply chain/logistics, including leadership of small teams
Educational background – Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics
ERP expertise – Proficient in ERP systems (Navision, SAP) with a deep understanding of their logistics modules
Process improvement mindset – Proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives
Collaborative leadership – Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across departments and cultures
