Job Summary
As a member of Belden’s Solutions Consulting & Services team, the Practice Leader, Digital Infrastructure, is responsible for developing a team of Solution Consultants who design world class, scalable, low voltage Digital Infrastructure solutions across Enterprise, Hyperscale Datacenter and Industrial customer segments in the Americas region. The Practice Leader is a critical business partner to our direct and channel sales teams to drive growth and maximize Digital Infrastructure attachment in our customer solutions.
Leveraging Belden’s extensive portfolio of network infrastructure products, these solutions include:
- Copper & Fiber Optic Cable
- Industrial, TIA & DIN compatible Connectivity
- Transceivers and Passive Optical Networking
- Environmentally Controlled Enclosures
- Power Distribution & Digital Electricity
- Cable Management and Pathway products
The ideal candidate has previous experience leading teams who develop technical solutions, scope of works, material specifications, elevation and architectural drawings and services designs required to successfully deploy and manage solutions. Practice Leaders leverage experience and industry expertise to establish certification and training programs to continuously develop associates. The Practice Leader is skilled in the selection and implementation of best-in-class tools, systems and processes that drive accuracy, efficiency and scale.
Practice Leaders are accountable for driving growth in their respective practices, strategy execution, maximizing the team’s thought leadership through people development, implementing improvements in our customer experience, optimizing the team’s efficiency, measuring effectiveness with KPIs and leading change.
Responsibilities
- Grow practice opportunities and solution attachments with Belden’s Digital Infrastructure portfolio
- Build and foster trusted client relationships with line of business and technical leadership
- Recruit, onboard, and continuously develop and coach practice associates
- Grow our people and market presence through talent management, enablement programs and skill development
- Continuously improve the team’s process excellence and standard deliverables for Solution formation
- Define and implement automation tools to improve efficiency and accuracy in the solution process
- Oversee opportunity progression to ensure completeness, accuracy and timeliness of Solution designs and deliverables
- Lead deal reviews to ensure we are maximizing opportunity fit, quality, and customer value
- We succeed through teamwork – demonstrate the highest level of cross-functional collaboration to solve problems, win deals and get tasks accomplished
- Oversee proof of concepts to ensure they meet the intended success criteria to achieve customer satisfaction and deal conversion
- Support technology campaigns such as webinars, demonstration events, blogs and trade shows
- Provide customer and market feedback to product management teams to influence product roadmaps
- Performance management and improvement planning
- Lead change and transformation
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in, Computer Science, Communication, Engineering or other related field
- MBA / MS degree is desirable
- 5 years of leadership experience developing, coaching and fostering a growth culture within technical teams
- 3 years of consultative experience in infrastructure or networking environments with proven expertise in design, implementation or maintenance
- Communication excellence to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Technical Support and Product Development
- RCDD, DCDC, CDCP, OSP, PE, PMP and other industry, professional or technical certifications preferred
- Experience with AIA MasterSpec, CAD, BlueBeam, BIM, REVIT or other engineering tools
- Adaptive learner with the ability to research and understand technological innovations, market trends and competitive solutions
- Strong technical knowledge of network communication systems and related applications
- Demonstrated ability to translate technical solutions into clear business outcomes to non-technical stakeholders
- Proven track record of engaging and managing diverse global teams
- Solid team performance management aptitude utilizing a data driven approach
- Willingness and ability to travel (~ 25% travel frequency)

Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $130,000 to $175,000, plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role. This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Belden may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant’s experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
