Senior Technology Architect  - NextGen Network Management (m/f/d) 

________________________________

This position is in the Innovation & Incubation department of the Technology Office. As Senior Technology Architect, you will be at the center of Belden’s strategic technology and innovation development efforts with exciting inward-facing as well as outward-facing responsibilities. 

Your responsibilities 

• Innovate and Incubate: Develop cutting-edge network management solutions based on network orchestration, automation, and abstraction for Operational Technology (OT) environments. 

• Pioneer AI/ML Integration: Conduct technology feasibility studies and create technology proofs-of-concept for integrating AI/ML into Belden’s network management products. 

• Advance Cloud Solutions: Contribute to the technological advancements of Belden’s Cloud solutions with on-prem as option. 

• Collaborate and Co-Innovate: Engage with key customers and partners to co-innovate and co-create new technology solutions. 

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams in a global organization to drive innovation. 

• Stay Ahead of the Curve: Observe international technology standardization, such as at IETF, and stay updated on the competitive landscape. 

• Be a Thought Leader: Position Belden as a technology leader by speaking at conferences, writing articles, and creating blogs and vlogs. 

Your profile 

• Educational Background: Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. 

• Professional Experience: 5 or more years of professional experience in system architecture, product development, or applied research. 

• Proven Expertise: Proven track record in nextgen network management development is a must; experience with Intent-based Networking or related technologies is a plus. 

• Domain Knowledge: Strong background in network communications, Cloud, and AI/ML; knowledge in operational technologies and mission-critical networks preferred. 

• Innovative Mindset: Motivation to push the boundaries of the status quo. 

• Open Innovation Experience: Practical experience in selection, establishment, and management of partnerships with subcontractors and other external partners. 

• Curiosity and Passion: High interest in new technologies and curiosity to explore unpaved roads. 

• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at different levels, from R&D teams to senior executives. 

• Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English; other languages are a bonus. 

• Travel Willingness: Openness to travel (<25%).
