Job Summary:
The Sr. Sales Director - Key Accounts, will be responsible for creating and executing long-term strategic plans, while managing and growing key strategic accounts on a global scale. This role requires a high level of strategic thinking, relationship building, and sales expertise. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in managing large, complex accounts and driving revenue growth through innovative sales strategies.

Responsibilities

Account Management:

  • Tactfully drive, coordinate and direct the resolution of problem situations that may require higher levels of management in order to preserve, cultivate and grow the business.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders in strategic global accounts.
  • Serve as the lead point of contact for strategic accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
  • Understand clients' business needs and objectives to provide tailored solutions and services.

Strategic Planning:

  • Uncover new and additional product opportunities by taking a consultative approach by discovering a company's needs and goals
  • Create and execute strategic account plans to achieve revenue targets and growth objectives.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop innovative sales and marketing strategies.

Sales Performance:

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs for assigned accounts.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with clients to assess satisfaction, address concerns, and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to senior management.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with all Belden internal cross-functional teams (such as marketing, product, and service) to ensure a cohesive approach to account management.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to drive overall company success.
  • Represent Belden at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.

Market Insight:

  • Analyzing data to understand account and market trends to develop and modify growth plans.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics.
  • Provide insights and feedback to internal teams to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Communication Skills:

  • Articulates product / solution value proposition to align to end-user needs.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in account management, sales, or a related role
  • Proven track record of managing and growing large, complex accounts on a global scale.
  • Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
