Summary

 

Belden is seeking a dynamic Solution Sales Manager to join our growing team. This role will focus on establishing and maintaining strategic accounts on the Media & Entertainment within the Hospitality vertical, which include professional and collegiate stadiums, entertainment venues and but not limited to broadcast studios. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying high-potential targets and leveraging Belden’s Smart Building and connectivity solutions to drive business expansion. You will collaborate with internal teams, including Sales, Marketing, Application Engineers, and Field Sales, to deliver favorable customer outcomes within the vertical. While the role is flexible, candidates residing in the United States are preferred, particularly for the Media and Entertainment vertical.

 

What you will do:

 

Sales Strategy Development & Execution

  • Develop and implement sales strategies for expanding Belden’s business within the Media & Entertainment and Hospitality verticals.

  • Execute Belden’s strategic plans for the targeted industries, ensuring alignment with company goals.

  • Identify and secure business opportunities within global regions.

Consultative Sales & Solution Design

  • Utilize a professional consultative sales approach to understand customer needs and deliver tailored solutions.

  • Collaborate with Application Engineers to design unique and customizable solutions using Belden’s product offerings.

  • Engage C-suite executives and other decision-makers to present solutions and drive sales in stadiums, entertainment venues, Broadcast, and similar settings.

Business Development & Channel Strategy

  • Expand business within assigned target accounts by leveraging Belden’s Smart Building and connectivity products.

  • Develop and manage effective channel strategies incorporating Contractors, Integrators, Consultants, or Supply Chain Partners.

  • Contribute to the development of partner-friendly strategies and enhance market intelligence.

Collaboration & Program Development

  • Work closely with Marketing and Product Line Management to optimize volume, mix, and margin.

  • Provide feedback to senior management regarding sales potential and progress within market responsibilities.

  • Contribute to the overall strategic direction, program development, and customer relationships within the Enterprise Sales Team.

 

What you bring:

Industry Expertise

  • 5+ years of relevant sales and technical experience in the Media & Entertainment or Hospitality sectors (e.g., stadiums, Venues, and broadcast studios).

  • Strong understanding of infrastructure and connectivity solutions for the specified industries.

  • Proven experience in specifying and designing systems for both Media & Entertainment and Hospitality environments is highly preferred.

  • Experience speaking with and presenting to C-suite executives.

Sales & Technical Competence

  • Demonstrated success in solution-selling, including experience in both channel sales and direct enterprise sales.

  • Ability to drive business expansion by identifying opportunities and engaging effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Proficiency in utilizing a consultative approach to assess customer needs and deliver complex, integrated solutions.

Certifications & Skills

  • Preferred industry certifications include BICSI RCDD, CTS, CTS-D, or similar qualifications.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Proficiency in utilizing a consultative approach to assess customer needs and deliver complex, integrated solutions.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Experience or participation in industry associations such as NAB, SMA, TEA, or similar organizations

Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $130-170K , plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role.  This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Belden may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant’s experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
