This role partners with business users, functional experts, and integration teams to ensure Belden’s warehouse and distribution processes are standardized, efficient, and enabled through SAP S/4HANA.

Ideal candidates have approximately 5 years of experience in SAP warehouse management (EWM or WM), strong analytical skills, and a collaborative mindset focused on continuous improvement and global best practice adoption.

Responsibilities

Project Preparation & Design

  • Participate in Fit-to-Standard and design workshops focused on EWM and logistics processes (inbound, outbound, internal movements, physical inventory).
  • Gather and document business requirements, ensuring alignment with SAP S/4HANA EWM standard functionality.
  • Support definition of key master data elements, including storage types, bins, handling units, and packaging specifications.
  • Assist in developing warehouse process flows that align with Belden’s global operating model and EWM capabilities.

System Configuration & Integration

  • Configure and test SAP S/4HANA EWM components, including warehouse structure setup, storage control, picking strategies, and putaway rules.
  • Support integration between EWM and core modules (SD, MM, PP, TM) and with external partners (3PLs, shipping carriers, label systems).
  • Participate in testing cycles (unit, integration, and user acceptance testing) to validate end-to-end warehouse operations.
  • Support troubleshooting of EWM-related errors (queues, IDocs, RF transactions, warehouse tasks).
  • Maintain detailed configuration and support documentation for all EWM processes.

Stabilization & Hypercare

  • Provide production support for EWM processes, including inbound receipts, outbound deliveries, internal movements, and physical inventory.
  • Resolve issues related to warehouse task creation, stock discrepancies, and RF scanner transactions.
  • Monitor EWM interfaces and queues to ensure data integrity between warehouse and core ERP.
  • Assist end users during hypercare and system stabilization, ensuring operational continuity.

Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate with global and regional teams to identify process optimization opportunities within warehouse operations.
  • Support enhancement requests, automation initiatives (e.g., wave management, replenishment triggers), and new technology pilots.
  • Assist in the development of KPIs and reports to monitor warehouse performance, throughput, and accuracy.
  • Contribute to the creation of EWM training content and end-user documentation.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in IT, with hands-on involvement in SAP EWM (embedded or decentralized) or WM environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Working knowledge of inbound, outbound, and internal warehouse processes, including RF framework, wave management, handling units, and physical inventory.
  • Familiarity with integration to related SAP modules (SD, MM, PP, TM).
  • Experience supporting SAP projects through testing, configuration, and user enablement.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on root cause resolution and continuous improvement.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills across global teams and functional areas (operations, logistics, and IT).
  • SAP certification in EWM or WM is a plus.
  • Knowledge of warehouse automation or third-party logistics integration is desirable.
