Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced BI Manager to lead the development and management of Belden’s Global Data Fabric built on SAP Datasphere. They will work alongside the IT manager of analytics to set the direction for Belden’sGlobal Corporate Business Intelligence environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and business acumen as well as an extensive background in cloud-based data warehousing, included but not limited to; SAP Datasphere, SAP Business Data Cloud, ETL processes, Microsoft SQL Server, and SAP Business Objects Data Services. This role requires a strategic thinker who can lead and manage Belden’s data fabric to support the data needs of the corporation globally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a data fabric strategy in line with the organization's objectives.

• Lead and manage a team of IT professionals, providing mentorship and guidance.

• Work collaboratively with the business to understand their data needs and ensure alignment with IT standards.

• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data management.

• Oversee the 24x7x52 ETL processes, maintaining data integrity and performance.

• Utilize SAP Datasphere and SAP Business Data Cloud to manage and optimize data storage and retrieval.

• Implement and manage Microsoft SQL Server databases to support data warehousing needs.

• Leverage SAP BusinessObjects Data Services for data integration, transformation, and loading.

• Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of the data fabric.

• Lead projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure successful project execution.

• Prepare and present project updates, reports, and documentation to senior management and other stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in data warehousing, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.

• Strong SQL skills with 5+ years of experience using database management systems.

• Proven experience with Modern Data Warehouse (MDW) concept and cloud data platform, specifically SAP Datasphere and SAP HANA Cloud and the BTP platform

• Strong expertise in ETL processes and tools such as SAP BODS or Syniti.

• Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server.

• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.

• Strong analytical and problem-solvingskills.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field

• Knowledge of S/4 HANA and SAP ECC

• Professional experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or SAP Analytics Cloud.

• Professional experience with programming languages such as Python or R

• Strategic understanding of SAP Business Data Cloud and Universal Catalog capabilities to architect enterprise-grade data foundations for AI enablement

• Experience with Fiori/UI5 extensions and custom app development.
