Belden Inc., a global leader in high-performance cable, wire, and networking solutions, is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join our finance team. This role is integral to maintaining the integrity of our financial reporting and ensuring compliance with internal controls and external regulations. The successful candidate will support key accounting functions across multiple Belden facilities and help drive accurate, timely, and insightful financial analysis. 

Responsibilities:

  • Timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reporting for Belden
  • Ensure compliance with financial controls, including SOX compliance
  • Establish standard cost and maintain inventory controls for various Belden facilities
  • Analyze general ledger inventory transactions to ensure business units are impacted properly
  • Manage consolidated expenses for proper local accounting
  • Align with Belden values and contribute to efficient accounting practices

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or 3-5 years cost accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of excel, cost accounting, and financial analysis
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience using BPCS and/or SAP
  • Knowledge of GAAP and other financial reporting standards

 

Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $64,900 - $97,300, plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role.  This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Belden may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant’s experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
