This is a 3rd shift position.
Operates one or more of the following equipment: electroplating, hot dip tinning, multi-wire, single end drawing,
annealer, strander, buncher and rework/rewind equipment. Involved in the planning of work to meet predetermined schedules.
Alters work plans and reassigns work to compensate for expedited schedules, processing problems, absenteeism or other items that cause the work to not flow according to the plan
Analysis product attributes and determines process adjustments to bring product to spec if necessary in a continuous process that contains many variables
Participates in the quality improvement process as it relates to the operation and the use of the product produced.
Obtains tooling and equipment product set-ups
Perform minor maintenance and minor preventive maintenance on equipment
Lubricates, changes air filters on equipment per established schedule
Obtain materials from delivery point and services the material needs of the equipment
Changes tin, chemicals, supply and take-up stem, spools and/or reels
Removes product from the process equipment and delivers to designated area
Cleans equipment and work area
Must keep equipment and floors clean and free of copper and tin dust, dirt, wire, oil, dip and any other grime
Work with hand tools on equipment
This operation may require physically moving large quantities of material
Responsible for the proper manufacture of the product specified
Records the products attribute data as required
Involved in the continuing process to improve product and process quality
Personally responsible for the safety of self and others in their work area
Orders material from process and stores
Maintains tools and auxiliary equipment inventory
Handles hazardous waste according to all Federal, State, and Local regulations as provided by the Plant and Division Environmental Engineer
Performs all other duties as assigned
