Overview:
Belden, a global leader in industrial networking and automation, is seeking a strategic and results-driven Solution Sales Manager (SSM) to accelerate growth in the Mobile Robotics segment. This role will focus on OEMs, System Integrators (SIs), and end users deploying AGVs, AMRs, and AS/RS systems in automated facilities. The SSM will lead sales engagements across industrial automation and logistics environments, positioning Belden’s connectivity solutions to support reliable, scalable, and safe mobile robotics deployments.
If you’re passionate about automation, thrive in complex technical sales environments, and want to shape the future of intelligent logistics, this role is for you
You'll make an impact in the following way:
- Define and build relationships through OEMs, SIs, and logistics operators, understanding their automation goals and network infrastructure challenges.
- Identify and capture new business by driving Belden’s value around mobile robotics: high speed wireless roaming, end-to-end infrastructure visibility, and scalable IT/OT architecture.
- Partner with technical experts, solution consultants, and channel teams to architect and deliver reliable industrial networking and safety system solutions that meet functional and regulatory needs.
- Drive revenue growth through direct customer engagement, identifying opportunities to expand Belden’s footprint in mobile asset connectivity, edge compute, and safety networking.
- Leverage tools like Salesforce, MEDDICC, and Account Plans to qualify opportunities, track progress, and deliver accurate, data-driven forecasts.
- Stay ahead of trends in automation, robotics safety, industrial wireless, and customer use cases to bring thought leadership to your customers and internal teams.
- Act as a trusted advisor by translating complex network and safety design into customer business outcomes—minimizing downtime, enabling scalability, and supporting labor-constrained environments.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and the channel to accelerate deal velocity and solution adoption.
- Help define long-term customer growth strategies, targeting recurring revenue and expansion opportunities in greenfield and brownfield environments.
Basic Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in solution sales or account management in mobile robotics, industrial automation, or industrial networking.
- Familiarity with industrial wireless systems, safety architectures, and IT/OT infrastructure preferred.
- Willingness to travel as needed to visit customer sites, integrator partners, and attend trade shows or industry events.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to influence both technical and business stakeholders.
- Knowledge of long-cycle sales and buying processes, particularly with OEMs and large integrators.
Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $120,000 - $150,000 annually and a Sales Incentive Plan, plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role. This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Belden may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant’s experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
