Job Summary:
To be responsible for the production planning based upon forecasting and customer demands. In return we offer a salary in the range of £55K depending on levels of experience, a discretionary bonus scheme as well as 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays). The role reports to the Plant Manager and is located at our UK manufacturing plant in Parham, Suffolk so your own transport is required and there is parking on site.
You will make an impact in the following way:
• Develops production plans that meet or exceed customer service objectives and delivers finished goods inventories at or below target levels.
• Responsible for ensuring availability of bulk cable and components at subcontracting/termination houses.
• Responsible for planning, communication, deliveries of terminated cables from subcontracting/termination houses.
• Responsible for intercompany order planning and shipments to plant in USA.
• Manages exceptions for any plant, where current plan cannot meet all demand with available capacity or when ending inventory falls below allowed safety stock.
What you will bring:
• Excellent ERP skills using SAP
• Well-developed organization skills, including the ability to handle many details and multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while ensuring accuracy
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong interpersonal skills to effectively deal with individuals at all levels.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience in a high mix manufacturing setting.
• IoSCM qualification in Production Planning and control or related field; preferred.
