Job Summary:
The Planner is responsible for the accurate production planning based upon forecasting and customer demands for the fiber product line. This position will partner with Buyers and Production Supervisors to manage all supply chain aspects of production planning, meeting customer delivery dates, service requirements, and inventory goals. The planner reports directly to the Plant Manager. This position is based out of Syracuse NY and is fully onsite role.
What you will do:
- Prepare capacity analysis to align workforce with actual and future requirements.
- Manage exceptions for any plant, where current plan cannot meet all demand with available capacity or when ending inventory falls below allowed safety stock.
- Provide production shortage updates, peer review processing, and other related planning duties as required.
- Suggest improvement in areas related to cost reduction, quality, and productivity.
- Perform data-based reviews extracting information from SAP and working with it excel spreadsheets or other data-based analysis tools.
- Review customer order records and problem solves backorder issues.
- Partner with Product Managers to facilitate the launch of new products through pilot runs.
What you will bring:
Education & Experience - Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering with three (3) or more years of related experience
Knowledge & Skills - SAP/ ERP, APICS knowledge preferred, Project Management
Customers Define our Success - Customer Service experience preferred.
Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $81,900 - $122,900 plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role. This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Belden may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant’s experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
