  •  Has overall accountability for safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and cost within areas of responsibility.
  • Plans and coordinates all phases of manufacturing in a cellular environment.
  • Utilizes the tools of Lean Manufacturing Manager defined. cells within the plant.
  • Manages Lean initiatives within area of responsibility.
  • Directly and indirectly manages personnel in manufacturing. supervision, production and inventory control, quality control, industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, and maintenance.
  • Directs and administers programs relating to safety and environmental compliance and improvement.
  • Actively plans for the development of hourly, supervisory, and management personnel. Regularly evaluates the management and professional development of personnel.


Responsibilities:

  • Training and development of plant machine center operators and support staff to create effective teams and efficient shift production
  • Converts design team outputs into work orders and schedules to meet customer demands
  • Communicates with project managers to understand project priorities and schedule production accordingly.
  • Works with Maintenance Superintendent to accommodate routine and annual maintenance activities.
  • Ensure efficient production scheduling to achieve plant production targets.
  • Identifies opportunities for cost control and works to implement them with support from Plant Manager.
  • Focused on ongoing process improvement.
  • Ensures production is carried out according to high quality standards set forth by the company and project team.
  • Always promotes a safe working environment.
  •  Manage collection and reporting of production data, KPI#s etc. to support routine dashboards
  • Operates with transparency and earns trust at all levels through communication and actions

Required Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing operations.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Proven track record of successfully training employees in productivity and safety.
  • Working knowledge of local regulations.
  • Ability to coach and mentor employees on a one-on-one basis as well as in a group.
  • 5S Lean Process Experience
