Job Summary:
The Associate Project Manager will be responsible for handling Belden#s ongoing Cable Research and Development projects. This position will ensure all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are developed, documented and remain on track. Additionally, you will understand key project dependencies, identify potential delays, and act as a liaison between task owners to mitigate delays and ensure proper execution of plans. This onsite position reports to the Senior Project Manager and is based in our Tucson, AZ office, with potential travel up to 10% as needed.
You will make a difference in the following ways:
- Work with R&D, PLM, Operations, and Procurement to plan, coordinate, and execute projects that align with the long-term strategy of the Smart Infrastructure business unit.
- Adhere to the Stage-Gate process for project planning, execution, and deliverables.
- Develop project plans for new projects, including detailed work breakdown structure, project deliverables and milestones, scheduling, and resource planning.
- Prepare status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information.
- Utilize ERP and associated manufacturing information systems to retrieve and analyze relevant project and product information, such as costs, suppliers, and on-hand inventory.
- Participate in post-project evaluations to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
- Uphold the establishment and maintenance of global training processes for project management and collaboration tools.
What you bring:
- Education & Experience: Bachelors degree in engineering or business field; Minimum three (3) years of professional experience in a manufacturing company.
- Relevant Knowledge: Good understanding of project management methodology, techniques, and software; Competency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and recommend data-driven solutions; Strong organizational, prioritization and communication skills.
- We Succeed Through Teamwork: Ability to effectively work within cross-functional teams or independently.
Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $72,000 to $108,000 annually, plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role. This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Belden may ultimately pay more or lessthan the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant#s experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
